VINTAGE AND VINEYARDS
Italy's Provincia di Pavia region – located on the north-western coast of the Italian Mediterranean- provides ideal growing conditions for Pinot Grigio grapes.  The terraced hillside vineyards bathe in the summer sun while the Italian Alps provide protection from the cold moisture of Northern Europe.

WINE AND WINEMAKING
A cool summer in 2007 allowed the growers to pick the Pinot Grigio later than normal, allowing the wine to retain its fresh fruity acidity while achieving optimum levels of ripeness.  Flavors of lemon, lime and hints of orange blossom leave a lasting impression.

ABOUT CELEBRATIONS AND FOOD PAIRINGS
Italians by nature are a social, vibrant folk who celebrate even the simplest feat.  And from weddings to Wednesdays, wine is always present turning even a modest meal into a celebration.  Solemar wines are crafted with these colorful occasions in mind.

To turn your simple gathering into a celebration with Solemar Italian Pinot Grigio, serve it with an appetizer cheese plate of fresh goat cheese with crostini.  The light, crisp finish of the wine complements fish dishes like dill-rubbed grilled Salmon or a spring salad made with strawberries and balsamic vinegar
